A person who know how to use computer is a Computer Operator.

He/She might be Data entry operator, Programmer, Computer Hardware Engineer, Owner of Company or establishment, Manager,
Clerk, Secretory, Assistant, Judge, Lawyer, President, Prime Minister, Chief Minister, and certainly You because you are
operating one when you went online and reading this.

But usually the jobs for computer operators are operations, data entry operator, front office clerk, personal assistants and
typist etc.

Entry level computer operators are usually people new to the IT field.

A REGULAR computer operator usually is a person just working with either data entry or sometimes computer work related. But a
programmer is someone who learns how to RE-program other programs, program more code for an existing software or creates a
software depending on the needs.

You could definitely be a computer operator; the question is whether you could be a good one.

Data Entry as a job only requires typing skill.
Programming requires a lot more knowledge and experience.

For data entry maybe you could learn MS Office throughly. And for Computer Programming, you will need to good in maths
because you need to do a lot of logic stuff, conditioning, variables, loops etc. Most prominent programming languages are
C++, Java, Dot Net etc. Before going to computer programming it is advised to go for a proper degree program.

Although the "computer operator" title is very much mainframe-centric. IT departments that employ UNIX, MS Win, Apple, Linux
etc. as the computing platform to run their business applications most often do not refer to their admins as "computer
operators".
