Job Description
? The ideal candidate must have Rock-Solid ROR development experience and know
rails, in and out.
? Hands on experience with critical areas including performance tuning,
security, feature implementation, and overall code structure decisions.
? Work with project management and development staff to plan and execute
large-scale technical projects
? Translate business and technical requirements into logical and physical
designs
? Ability to clearly communicate both within the team and with the client
? Ability to travel outside of Pakistan and work onsite with the client
? Author formal requirements, analysis and technical design documentation
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
? Bachelors / Masters degree from a reputable university
? 2+ years creating web applications using Ruby on Rails (A little less will
also do)
? 5+ years creating web applications and object-oriented design (A little less
will also do)
? Experience with UNIX operating systems, including basic systems administration
? Experience with using software Configuration Management Systems
? Experience with databases, database design, and formulating complex SQL
queries -- Postgres preferred
? Experience with at least on MVC framework, in addition to Ruby on Rails
? Experience with writing software in one or more languages, in addition to Ruby
? Excellent communication skills
